"Well I met w/my urologist, I like to think of him as my "wana be butcher". The meeting was concerning my 2nd 3TMRI, 1st one was 6 months ago, which was 5 months after my initial diagnosis of Gleason 6, 3+3. Genomic testing at diagnosis indicated a high likely hood of possible aggressive cancer. As w/the last MRI and meeting w/him, he was not interested in the results, they don't serve his purpose of getting me to let him remove my prostate. All that came out of his mouth was that the tumor had not significantly increased in size. The butcher reminded me that I had cancer on both sides of my prostate, from blind biopsy, 5% of cores on one side , 10% of cores on the other side and he does not believe that a 3TMRI can see cancer, I don't know about that. Concerning prostate volume , my prostate was almost exactly the same size but according to the equation they used both times it went from 27 cc to 44cc, multiplication error. The 1 lesion that the MRI pics up has not changed in size in the last 6 months, would like to think that my be because of the lifestyle change, I don't know, but would like to think so. I am still Pi-rads 4 and the lesion in the left apical region is abutting the prostate capsule. So here I am almost 1 year after diagnosis, 6 months after the last 3TMRI and not much has changed. I know that we do not give advise on this forum and I understand why but your input would be appreciated. As it stands now, I am going to stay the course w/the life style change, exercise and anything else that I can possibly do to help my body control this monster, unless things change drastically. Thank you."
