Support: Finding the Right Team

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer 3 years ago. Just the announcement of this was sobering.

Facing diagnosis as a single dad

Here I am a single dad raising 3 girls and on top of handling this responsibility, I'm given this news. After accepting the reality of the situation, I realize, I've got to be positive for both me and my young ladies. They will react according to how I do.

Taking action

I had to decide on a plan of action/treatment sooner than later. I chose radiation treatment over surgery. It was important that I first had the right mindset and have a team/support network on the same page. I was blessed to have such a team to include new, positive friends I met at my treatment facility. I value and celebrate them and their support. (Mssg: have the right team!)
