Burning pain 2 years post radiation
RP then psa <0.01
5 years psa .24
External radiation
BAD burning pain in urethra base of penis. Psa back to<0.01
4 yes later psa .02
Found that any little bit of #2 in the rectum. Super bad burning in penis followed by a rectal release of gas or fecal matter then burning stops.
I feel like I was burned up from over radiation.
The pain hasn't gone away yet.
Urologist says doesn't know why.
Any body with this experience?
Sorry to learn of your experiences with radiation. I have undergone radiation several times. The first round was 5 treatments a week for 8 weeks then some 5 years later i received 5 treatments of high intensity SBRT - At no point in time did I experience what you are describing.
If your urologist is not sure of what is going on it may be in your best interest to reach out to another urologist or even a different hospital . I did that recently. Even though I was with a well recognized regional hospital I was quite surprised at what was offered when i changed to a top cancer treatment center.I am glad I did ... Please keep us posted.
