Radiation without ADT

Had anyone here with unfavorable intermediate risk decided not get ADT with radiation? If so, how are you doing and what were your Gleason and PSA scores along with number of postive cores from biopsy.

  1. See my post under treatment options. This is exactly my situation. My PSA, on Finasteride, was 15.47 prior to treatment. Gleason of 4+3=7 in 1 positive core of 12. No detectable spread outside of gland. 5 SBRT treatments with SpaceOAR. No ADT needed . Next PSA will be in a few weeks. I feel great!

    1. I would also like to note that I had TURP for BPH 17 years ago. My Urologist was concerned that the earlier TURP could make radiation problematic. My Radiation Oncologist (recommended by my Urologist) was unfazed and it turned out to be a non-issue. My prostate was 47 cc as estimated from the last MRI. Large, for sure, but not crazy big for 68 year old. Again, well within treatment parameters per my Radiation Oncologist.
