Xtandi Cancer Drug

Hi, I was in a study for Prostate Cancer where I had to take Xtandi every 2 months during the study. My cancer is stage 4 terminal and I have completed 12 different treatments. I stopped the study because it was not working for me. I have 5 bottles (never opened) of Xtandi that was sent to me from the drug company as part of the trial. Now that I am not in the study anymore, I still have the 5 bottles left over. I have no use for them and I cannot find any way to give the drugs back. They have never been opened, still sealed from the drug company. I would hate to throw them away. Wondered if anyone knows how I can get rid of them or give them away. I would hate to throw them away if there was a way to get them to someone that needs them. I am not looking for any money for them. Need some advice on how or what I should do.

  1. Sorry to learn the details of your treatment journey. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Not long ago I also was prescribed some rather potent drugs, Due to changes they are no longer needed. Given the potential for accidental etc. misuse by someone in the future, I decided it was best to dispose of them. Local police departments often will accept various prescription drugs for destruction.

You could also consider connecting with the social services department of a local cancer hospital for additional guidance. Dennis(ProstateCancer.net TEAM)
