"Questions....I had a Turp 1 1/2 years ago. After being home a week my Doc calls me up and tells me I have PC...I am 57 white male with no PC history in my family....Doc says it is 3+3= 6 Gleason score...he said the report said a very small amount of low grade cancer, almost indolent.....Scared to death I asked what do we do.....so waited two months for the Turp to settle down and had a biopsy....14 core ....it came back completely negative, I was relieved but Doc said we have to monitor it as my PSA will rise as the cancer spreads.....Several weeks later i had a PSA test....It was <.7 and the Doc had no answers but said lets take it....I inquired what my PSA was at the time it was discovered and he said 2....I was really confused now as I thought 4 was the tipping point?? Since then I have had two more PSA tests at 6 month intervals the next being <.9 nad then <.8..Doc said I am stable and need to live my life and keeping checking in every 6 months....This whole thing seems surreal...My mind never leaves the subject and often think about it as a day goes by....Thoughts?
