23 year PC survivors story

I was 47 years old when reading an article advocating a PSA test at age 40. I had no symptoms but uncle had metastatic PC at age 60.

my test results

My PSA was only 4.0. Digital exam negative. A urologist's PSA test led to a biopsy. I had tumors on both sides. Biopsy Gleason 7 adenocarcinoma. My urologist was gloom and doom. Through a friend I found an optimistic urologist surgeon at the mayo clinic.

Post op life

Post-op Gleason 6 stage 3. Worried, my surgeon said your not a statistic. 20 years I still have active sex life. And no issue with incontinence. BTW, my uncle that had metastatic PC at 60 lived till 94.
