Bloodwork leads to cancer journey

Jan 2020 Routine blood workup for a man of 66 and PSA was 8.2 Feb retest 10.4. Prostate biopsy 4 + 3 = 7 pattern 5 Radical robotic prostatectomy, no clear margin , only microscopic trace on pelvic bead. Ultra PSA .045 Full body scan no trace or lesions, PMSA PET scan no cancer highlights, After that watch 2021 stable, 2022 very slow growth 2023 .12 still no test show cancer location.

Ultra Sensitive PSA test every 3 months

I still can't get a PSMA Pet Scan that uses a radioactive amino protein tracer instead of a radioactive glucose tracer ,because a 68 yr old male that is being treated for type 2 diabetes that has constant glucose between 127 and 180 is fooled by the body showing high concentration in multiple locations...amino protein tracer is processed by the liver not the bladder like glucose, interesting isn't it

Thank you so much for the chance to share, Australia scientists were the ones who found the connection between glucose radio tracers and their uptake in the bladder ,salva glands,kidneys ect...amino protein based tracer is only processed by the liver....Much more accurate finding true cancer location

<inline-mention username="CommunityMember3d3e22" user-id="6915654"/> When I read your story I thought it was written by my husband! He had a robotic prostatectomy and his margins were not clear. His psa has been slowly rising over the past few years. The PSMA test did not show any identifiable problem areas, and he's had that test several times. The MRIs and scans do not show any identifiable areas of concern. Like you, his oncologist is carefully watching for significant change but we have been fortunate that has not occurred. His psa levels were initially tested every three months but now he is checked every six months. The psa continues to rise, but he doesn't require treatment. He is a stage 4 survivor of prostate cancer diagnosed nearly 15 years ago. His cancer is slow growing, and it sounds from your comments that yours is as well. I hope that continues to be the case and you continue to live you life as you wish.
