PSA caught it early!
Routine PSA test caught prostate cancer
Routine visit with my urologist at age 73 I found out my PSA had jumped from 4 to 8. The DRE had indicated my prostate was not significantly enlarged. The doctor recommended a biopsy and I agreed to it. The biopsy indicated I had prostate cancer with a Gleason score of 4/3. It was slow growing and in the early stages.
Prostate cancer treatment
I opted for SBRT radiation therapy instead of removal since both had a success rate in the 90% range. It has been over a year since treatment and my PSA rmains below 2.
