PSA, MRI, Radiation (SBRT)

I had my PSA taken every year since I was 48.

PSA progression

My numbers started out around 2.0…gradually my number went up to 3.4 in 2019. Somehow my PSA was missed during my yearly physical in 2020….then in 2021, it went up to 5.5. I was 66 yrs old. I had an MRI and my P-rad score was 5, the highest possible.

Prostate cancer biopsy

Biopsy was performed and showed I was a Gleason 6 on two samples and Gleason 7 on one of them, ( 13 samples were taken). I elected to have the SBRT treatments which were only 5 treatments. 4 months after treatment my PSA was 1.6 NG/ ml….my side effects were minimal two to three weeks after treatment. I am 4 months out from treatment and so far so good. I will keep everyone posted. Thanks.
