An old TV surrounded by VHS tapes shows a man on the screen.

Troublesome Gland In Men

In this video Dennis reminds men that prostate issues are not confined to older men. In fact he recalls his own first issues beginning in his early 20s with a prostate infection. He recalls experiencing painful urination and burning and running a low-grade fever. He also recalls the experience and embarrassment of his first digital examination.

After the doctor applied pressure to the gland, he almost immediately experienced fever and chills and spent the rest of his time in bed under the covers. Once the antibiotics kicked in, he was able to resume daily activity.

In his closing remarks Dennis discusses the similarities in symptoms as a result of a prostate infection, an enlarged prostate, and prostate cancer. The need for men to be aware and engaged when it comes to prostate health, he notes, is a lifelong journey no matter your age.
