As a new member of this site, I’ve read many of the articles and advocate responses and realize that I’m in the company of people who share a similar goal – to share experiences and help others who find themselves in like situations.
I’m a wife of almost 50 years to a wonderful husband, have three amazing kids and seven beautiful grandchildren. I’ve been a caregiver for my husband who was diagnosed with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer 13 years ago, and our journey has taken us to places we never imagined we’d travel.
I retired from a large international law firm three years ago and since that time have become involved in sharing my cancer caregiver story. I’ve shared my story online, have joined several panels in which members discuss their experiences, participate in interviews and surveys, and am now pleased to join this forum. I feel that if my experience and what I’ve learned can help someone else, I can make something good out of something bad.
