Advanced prostate cancer

I've been doing hormone therapy for just over 2 years for my advanced prostate cancer. No problem whatever with insurance till a month ago. With a nother shot coming up in January all of a sudden they will not cover injection. Reason they say is that it's for gender changes in little children that want to change sexual identity. Has anyone else been experiencing this problem.

  1. Ouch! Bureaucrats, not medical folk.

You need to follow up on this. It is true that the meds used for ADT are also used as puberty blockers, but this is not how it is being used in your case. If your insurance is ignorant of the part ADT plays in treatment of prostate cancer or has tunnel vision you may need to move to another insurance provider.
