bio recurrent prostate cancer
I had RP September 2007. Gleason score 6, negative margins, no lymph node involvement and undetectable PSA for 15 years
Last two PSA tests (all within 3 weeks as the urologist didn't believe the first result) came in at 0.05
Urologist has ordered a PSMA PET
Anyone have experience with such a late recurrence or similar circumstances?
Yes i had a similar situation with the exception that my gleason score was a 9
Typically the post score is in the 0.01 or 0.02 range. Mine then started to increase over the next 5 years. At that time i underwent radiation of the prostate cancer bed and so far all is good. Great he ordered a PSMA PET scan as hopefully it will identify where cell clusters are hiding. Sounds like you and your team are on it - Dennis(ProstateCancer.net TEAM)
