Hormone therapy experiences

Hello there. I’m writing on behalf of my father who has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer, Gleason 8 (4+4), they’ve seen it has spread into the lymphatic glands up to the belly button, so surgery is out of the table. Now the treatment proposed is hormone therapy with Casodex during 3 months in combination with Treistar once a month, and Xtandi (not clear yet). After those 3 months they will check with a CT scan if the lymphadenopathy has diminished, and only then start with radiotherapy and keep taking Casodex for 5 years.

This is the proposal of one oncologist. Another urologist is suggesting to take Casodex for one month, get a shot of Treistar (after 15 days), and after that month start with radiotherapy without checking the size of the lymphadenopathy.

I would like to know if someone had a similar treatment, or could give me some advice, or anyone has taken Xtandi as it looks quite new and is quite expensive. Any experience or words would be highly appreciated. Huge thanks
