How to get energy back

Low or no teso? How to my energy back when I can have normal T? Because of PSA

  1. Hi many of our members will say their energy levels are low. If you don't mind sharing, what is your PSA level? If you can, exercise and good nutrition will help boost your energy. I am sending over this article that I hope can help: https://prostatecancer.net/living-coping/exercise. Sending you lots of strength. Jill, prostatecancer.net team

    1. Hi Sandquad,
Low energy is probably the most common side-effect of ADT. I was on ADT for 2.5 years and I've now been off ADT for 13 months and I would say my energy is only about half what it used to be 4 years ago.

That being said, intense exercise cannot be recommended enough. The days where I feel almost normal are those when I've pushed myself harder than in my previous training session. For example, if I jog for one minute more than the previous day, I somehow feel less tired. Same if I do 25 reps instead of 20. Of if I add 5-10lbs more to a weight machine than previously.

If I do not train, I get more and more tired.
If I train normally, as in a routine, I am less tired than when I do not train
But if I surpass my typical routine, then I can last my day without requiring a nap.

      Best of luck to you.
