Orgovyx and zometa infusion

I am currently taking lupron and doing zometa infusion due to stage iv prostate metastatic bone cancer. Has anyone taken Orgovyx and how has it impacted your zometa infusion?

  1. Hi . I can't personally speak to the combination of Orgovyx and Zometa, but I have not found anything indicating that any contraindications or that the impact on the zometa should be any different than the Lupron. I am curious if your doctors have mentioned Xofigo. Like zometa, it has been found to help with the pain from bone metastatic prostate cancer, but it also has been found to decrease the spread of the cancer (see: https://news.cancerconnect.com/prostate-cancer/xofigo-treatment-for-prostate-cancer-metastatic-to-bones). Of course, every case is different and only a doctor can answer specifics on treatment options. Hopefully others will chime in with their experiences. Wishing you the best. 1. Was on Lupron prior to undergoing 8 weeks of Radiation and it was not a fun filled adventure. I have not experienced Orgovyx or Zometa. My suggestion would be to have an in-depth conversation with your MD asking what you might expect from this combination along with any potential issues/concerns you will need to be aware of. Best of luck and do keep us updated. Dennis(ProstateCancer.net TEAM)
