Pain Sitting position soon after Perineal Biopsy procedure

Developed a pain in back passage a month after Perineal Biopsy procedure. Assumed it was Infection but 3 , month long Antibiotic courses at different stages have done nothing.
Wondered if anyone had similar experience ?

  1. - Sorry to hear you are dealing with this. That said I have not heard of a similar experience and would reach out to whoever did the biopsy procedure. Explain what is happening. It could be something as simple or more complex. You might also consider asking for a second opinion on other possible treatment options. Dennis(ProstateCancer.net TEAM)

    1. Thanks for reply. Biopsies were almost 12 months ago now. Recently started Radiotherapy. Contacted Consultant in the summer agreed a further MRI showed Tissue scarring. He told me he had No idea what was causing the discomfort pain and referred me to pain management which hasn't happened to date. Paid to see a specialist still no joy.

      1. that is frustrating. Definitely follow up with the pain management doctor, even though you were referred, you may need to chase them down. Please keep us posted. Jill (Team Member)

    2. Pain management in my experience usually takes upto 12 months Only got another 6 months to wait !
Nerve damaged has been mentioned and dismissed. Strangely the pain Only occurs in a sitting position Not lying down or Standing up. Thank you for interest.

      1. I hope you are able to sit comfortably in a recliner. Let us know what they discover and I really hope you can get some relief! Jill (Team Member)
