Biopsy Diagnosis Question from Shocked Patient

My first biopsy was done this past Monday (12/20/21). I was told the Dr. would review the results with me in early February. I was also encouraged to enroll in the Patient Portal website.

Yesterday (12/22/21), I registered on the Patient Portal only to find that the biopsy results were posted to the portal. I immediately opened the report and read the diagnosis at least 20 times, only to be EXTREMELY shocked among other reactions and emotions.

I have not had a good feeling about the results prior to the biopsy and did a lot of research into Prostrate Cancer, Gleason Score, Group Number, and other relevant items.

Bottom line, I had 12 samples that had very similar results. 10 samples were described as follows:

QUOTE from 1 sample:
“A. Right Apex Needle biopsy ADENOCARCINOMA, GLEASON SCORE 3 + 3 = 6 involving 10 % of the specimen (1 of 1 core(s) positive). Grade Group 1. Ends not involved by the tumor.”

All 10 samples were Adenocarcinoma, with a Gleason Score of 3+3 or 3+4 divided equally among the 10 samples. Also, the 10 samples were equally divided into Group 1 or Group 2.

Of the 2 other samples, One was benign and the other was ASAP with no other notes.

Without the ability to review the report with a Dr., I can only rely on my research for now to conclude that the overall results are OK but will require medical action.

My major question has to do with the Quote above. What does the sentence “Ends not involved by the tumor.” mean?

Any insight into what this means would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
