Calcification between the bladder and prostate

I've develope calcification as stated above in the topic. This has caused urgency and burning pain when i urine. I'm wondering if someone has experience the same effect. What treatment resolved this. I've been given medicine that has not stop the pain. The other recommendation was to have a TURP procedure to cut the calcification. Please advise.

  1. Hi . I can't personally speak to this issue, but I did find this study which discusses that "prostatic calculi can be easily removed with a transurethral electroresection loop or holmium laser if they cause difficulty in urination or chronic pain:" https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5756803/#:~:text=Treatment%20is%20not%20usually%20necessary,in%20urination%20or%20chronic%20pain.. Your doctor should be able to discuss whether either of these treatments may fit your case. Best, Richard (ProstateCancer.net Team)

    1. Thanks Richard for your response. I've read the link you provided. Great information. Most likely I will have the TURP procedure to remove it. Thanks again!!
