Cancer is settling In at My House

Dont like this disease. I am stage IV prostate, stage zero bladder, my daughter just now completing a year long double mastectomy and chemo, one breast yet to remove. My wife just diagnosed today with breast cancer. Seems to be a pattern developing here. Have two more kids-hope they dodge this demon. Trying to figure out how we got so lucky? No history in either family-thinking living by steel mills didnt help...Fight on amigos...

  1. Hi . Wow, your family certainly has had its hands full. Wishing successful treatment and a speedy recovery. Your family has exhibited the power of mutual support and no doubt that will continue. Wishing all of you the best. Richard (ProstateCancer.net Team)

    1. None of this is easy and none of us signed up for it. That said the fact you have a supportive family is truly a blessing for all of you. Having personally been though cancer, it was really helpful when my daughter was diagnosed with a form of skin lymphoma. Thankfully she is doing better now. The fact that we both faced cancer challenges at different points in our lives has made our bonds stronger.

Based on your story I suspect you will see a similar power pattern in your family as well. Do hope you, your wife and daughter all do well with treatments. Dennis (ProstateCancer.net TEAM)
