Odds of cancer spreading to the bones

Had my prostate removed with lympnodes and seminal vessels , LN no cancer, vessels, found cancer, before operation I was a 4+4. 8. After finding cancer in SV. Changed to a 4+5 9, two months later PSA 2.41 , now on to the xternal radiation, and Lupron shot and a bone scan, I’m 78 feel like 50 lifted weights for 45 years, nothing hurts, so the big question what are the odds it’s spread to the bones,

Thanks Don😇😇

  1. DonH. Thats the million dollar question. Been playing with this stuff since 2008. Know its out-cant find any mets though-so good thing. My oncologist says 99% sure its in my spine but too small to detect-except PSA keeps rising. Dont fret it too much-keep hitting the gym and love each day.

    1. Hi . With a PSA of 2.41 any metastatic cancer should be detectable by a PSMA Pet scan. It is currently the gold standard in locating recurrent cancer spread and this article goes into further detail: https://prostatecancer.net/clinical/psma-imaging-scan. Your doctor should be able to provide additional information. Wishing you the best and please feel free to keep us posted on how you are doing. Richard (ProstateCancer.net Team)
