Talking about prostate cancer at family or friend gatherings.

Sometimes topics, like prostate cancer, can come up that we are not expecting it will. And sometimes, those conversations can have great outcomes. Has prostate cancer ever come up in conversation unexpectedly? Where did it come up? What was the outcome of the discussion?

  1. The worst part of Post, is For Some reason People end with this Nonsense You Not alone, That is BS, You have The side effects you Deal with it And For prostrate c There are little to No Groups for men to meet and talk about it,YES SOME ARE ALONE!!

    1. I agree. I'm told I'm not alone, but I really am. I'm the one facing it. I appreciate everyone's support but I really am alone.

  2. It is very hard to find a support group of men that want to share knowledge, experience and emotions without it becoming too depressing or single focused. For some, sad to say, cancer is their life while others are living with the cancer. I need the male support but in a positive environment. We choose how we want to deal with prostate cancer, it’s the common thread, but I wish more group opportunities existed. Until then, the support chat boards are helpful.

    1. and I wanted to send over this forum discussion. In the posts, you will see many men sharing their experiences with finding support groups: https://prostatecancer.net/forums/support-group. I hope this is helpful. Jill, prostatecancer.net team
