Can one get one's entire vas deferens surgically removed as a part of a prostatectomy?

Can one get one's entire vas deferens surgically removed as a part of a prostatectomy if one's vas deferens has already previously gotten severed on both sides as a result of a bilateral epididymectomy?

  1. While you are waiting for a reply from someone who may have had some personal experience with this procedure, I wanted to acknowledge your question and offer an observation.
Given the vas deferens is a critical part of the male reproductive system it would appear that the next logical step would be to pose the question along with your concerns to a urologist as it certainly appears to be well within their area of expertise. Do let us know what you find out . Dennis(ProstateCancer.net TEAM)
