incontinence clamp

24 months post prostatectomy I have mild incontinence and use a shield pad but recently started using an incontinence clamp. My life has improved considerably using the clamp.

I would like feedback regarding how long daily, hours per day, not counting 8 hours sleeping when not using the clamp, can the clamp be used without damage or complications to the urethra. Releasing the clamp every several hours to urinate.

I wear it all day when not sleeping. I'm concerned from some postings I've read elsewhere indicating urethra complications from wearing the clamp 12-16 hours per day. Feedback would be welcomed. Thank you
