Starting the treatment journey on Monday and looking for help

I am starting lupron injections on Monday along with abiraterone and prednisone. I have been taking bicalutamide for the past week and a half (something the Medical Oncologist suggested to keep any tumor flare ups from starting after the lupron injection). While I understand everyone reacts differently to medications I was looking for suggestion on how to minimize those possible side effects. So far the only real issues I have had with the bicalutamide was fatigue (which I have been dealing with for the past few months) some dizziness initially and constipation. Any help/suggestions will be appreciated.

  1. Best I can give you is diet and exercise. Must keep moving and rebuilding strength as treatment tends to hit strength. A little prayer now and then and keep pushing forward.

    1. I did Lupron and xtandi for two years. Have been off it for 6 months.
You will survive the experience. For hot flashes I used a neck fan purchased on Amazon. I also used a silk pillowcase and bought a chillow, again Amazon. Fatigue is a constant. I exercised with low impact aerobics, tai chi, and yoga ( mostly stretching and meditation ).
I did small weights until I lost so much muscle mass. Staying active, even just walking, staying positive and eating healthy because your metabolism ( testosterone) disappears, will help you stay the course and hopefully soon, you’ll be in remission. Take care
