Side effects

: There are men in my support group who went on Lupronmo and more and experienced little to no reaction. Others like myself had all kinds of issues (hot flashes, sleep issues, and unexpected emotions. You just do not know how you will react ahead of time.

Based on personal experience with both LUPRON and prednisone, it might be advisable, at least in the beginning, to keep an eye on managing calorie intake. Both drugs allowed me and others to pile on significant weight in a very short period of time. All said it was almost impossible to take it off until treatment stopped. I did not take Zytiga and Prednisone but did take Lupron. I had very few physical effects from it. I didn't gain weight or have hot flashes, and only had occasional insomnia. I didn't get ED, though my libido was lower (but not gone). However, I had some really bad mental side effects and crazy mood swings. I knew it was the drug, but it was still hard to deal with. Went to a therapist and a support group and that helped a lot, as well as taking a low dose of Wellbutrin for the time being.
