Hi . While a digital exam is a diagnostic tool it cannot provide a diagnosis. That takes a biopsy. This article from our editorial team gives an overview of the diagnostic process: https://prostatecancer.net/diagnosis. It also included information on test results and staging, which would dictate what next steps might be. Hope this information is helpful and when you get results feel free to ask questions. Hi . Do you know if it is MRI guided? Our contributor Brian wrote about it back in 2019: https://prostatecancer.net/clinical/mri-guided-biopsy. Since then it really has become the standard of care, but I ask because there are still some places that do the blind biopsy. Please feel free to keep us posted on how things go and to ask questions once you get some results. Wishing you the best. Richard (Team Member)
