Immunotherapy Institute- Tijuana, MX- HELP!

Hey all, my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer and is considering the Immunotherapy Institute in Tijuana, MX. He had a long call with them and we are now digging in and trying to see if this is a viable alternative option for treating him. Has anyone recieved care there? Any experiences you can share with us? We are trying to avoid invasive action and chemical (chemo). He is an otherwise extremely healthy 68yo, physically fit and has a generally healthy diet. Any help and advise would be so appreciated. We are just looking for best action and next steps as the reviews are a mixed bag. Any first hand experiences here??? Thank you in advance.

  1. Hi . First, let me say that it is great that you are here advocating and seeking information for your father. I can't personally speak on immunotherapy or this institute, but I do want to share with you this article from our editorial team on immunotherapy: https://prostatecancer.net/treatment/immunotherapy (note: you may also want to look at the references section at the bottom). I also want to share with you these two recent articles on the topic: https://www.mdanderson.org/cancerwise/what-s-new-in-immunotherapy-for-prostate-cancer-treatment.h00-159697545.html and https://healthsciences.arizona.edu/news/releases/study-reveals-hope-immunotherapy-prostate-cancer-treatment. We are not medical professionals and, for your (and your father's) protection, cannot offer medical advice over the internet. What I can say is that there seems to be a lot of hope and excitement for the potential of immunotherapy for prostate cancer, but the track record/history is still slim. Immunotherapy is much newer in the realm of prostate cancer than some other cancers. It is important to make sure that any facility is tied to the latest tested methods for PCa. Wishing you and your father the best and please feel free to keep us posted and to ask additional questions. Richard (Team Member)
