Newly Diagnosed...

Diagnosed initially in 2022. Gleason Score on biopsy 3+3(6). Active Surveillance participant.

Recent biopsy and subsequent findings: Gleason Score now 4+3 (7). Multi-focal. (meaning numerous lesions)

Unfavourable intermediate risk ISUP Grade 3, meaning higher risk of progression.

I am still hoping that I can participate in focal therapies (HIFU/Nanoknife etc) that targets individual lesion(s), or what urologists are now calling the ‘Index Lesion’ or ‘Alpha’ lesion, which, by most articles I have read/studied seems to be the main driver of one’s individual PC so to speak…

This is as opposed to the whole gland treatments like radical prostatectomy/radiation/brachytherapy etc.

I am also prepared for the radical prostatectomy/ADT if it should come to that.

Will soon have my second PSMA-PET scan to detect possible metastasis.

I’m pretty confident my PC is just locally advanced...

Confidence is such a fleeting thing when dealing with this disease…

Onwards and Upwards!

P.S - I must say, the entity/person/simulator that designed the Prostate Gland, and its surrounding structures should NOT BE ALLOWED TO DESIGN ANY OTHER ORGAN(S)/GLAND(S) moving forward...

F**k that guy!
