Prostate cancer in the family

I'm 70 and have had PSA tests since I was 40. My father died from prostate cancer and never wanted me to go through what he did. He had surgery but the cancer had spread. 39 radiation treatments but cancer went into his bones. Now me. My PSA level went up quickly after years of being in the 4-5 range. I had my prostate removed in March.Left hospital thinking I was cancer free. Wrong. Cancer is still there. I will be starting radiation treatments soon. I have confidence in my medical team. This is not 2000. Treatment is far more advanced than when my father dealt with this. Scary, yes,but family and friends have been extremely supportive. Prayers for all going through this journey. Stay positive. God is good.
