Roller Coaster Choosing...
Treatment decision roller coaster
I was diagnosed at the very beginning of Covid. Decided on robotic surgery. Had my 2nd heart attack and got new stents 4 days before the surgery. It was then out of the question. The cardiologist would not allow it for months. Radiation was acceptable to him. I had HDR brachytherapy then 15 follow up treatments. It turned out to be a great choice. nearly zero down time. No incontinence. Other side effects-minimal. I am am glad my choices were altered for me. It worked out really well. My PSA is going down slowly and steadily still. My oncologist is okay with it. Life is good.
