Stage 3 PSA recurrence after surgery and radiation

Prostate Cancer Diagnosis

I was diagnosed with PC in 2017 Gleason 7 (4+3) with metastatic cancer at age 55. I stated to my new doctor that I would take too long at the stall when going to urinate and had some issues with having an erection (symptoms I had for a few years but embarrassed to mention). That got the ball rolling for me to get tested.

Prostate cancer treatment

Since my diagnosis, I’ve had robotic surgery in 2018, Ebert radiation without hormones in 2021, and today August 2022 my PSA has resurfaced with a reading of .1 (1st PSA test after radiation was undetectable). I return in 6 months for a follow-up test. After my surgery, I had a PSA reading that would double. Needless to say, it’s an emotional roller coaster. I hope Kaiser (my insurance) is well equipped on advising the best treatments for PC.
