Prostate cancer treatment and recurrence of PSA

When I last posted, I had been on ADT treatments for over 5 years after surgery and radiation were unsuccessful. Having been on ADT that long I had successfully dealt with all of the side effects except anemia. But that changed in an instant. At my last checkup, my PSA had suddenly risen from essentially nothing to 7.35 over 6 months!

PSMA scan caught early cancer

However, this may actually be a blessing in disguise. I immediately had a PSMA scan which showed that the cancer I had was all near lymph nodes near L4, and a hi-res 4D CT scan showed it was reachable with radiation. I’m waiting for a treatment plan, but it’s possible I could be done by Christmas and this beast may be gone or at least tamed for a while!
