Just wondering if most practices utilize hydrogel placement before radiation or has it not become the standard yet?

Hi . I can't speak to what percentage of practices use SpaceOar, but I wouldn't stick with one that didn't use it. It is considered "established" by many insurers, which helps. It would be a good question as to why a doctor didn't want to use it for prostate radiation. Best, Richard (Team Member)

From my experience I believe it is the standard of care at the Cleveland Clinic. It opens up SBRT treatment using high doses with fewer (mine was 5) sessions. I’m about 19 months in with zero side effects. Fidicual markers (3 gold) were placed during the SpaceOAR procedure under general anesthesia. I went home that afternoon with no dicomfort. Lots of buddies have had the old method of low doses over 30 - 45 sessions. Their results have been mixed.
