Stage I prostate Cancer

I'm 72 and diagnosed with PS/Cancer . I had an elevated PSA of 7.23 (12/22), 6.89 (06/23), MRI/PSA and biopsy confirmed cancer. I have sines, had a PSA of 5.12 and recently, a MRI/PSA (5.60), 0ct. 21, 2025. My urologist recommends that I get another biopsy Jan. 8, 2026 as a monitoring precaution to insure their is no unseen activity. I plan to continue aggressive monitoring- I pray my decision is correct. Thanks for listening...

  1. I presume your biopsy showed a Gleason 3 +3. Can you provide the biopsy details? Was it a fusion biopsy?

  2. Hi . Just to follow up on the question from , active surveillance is usually reserved for Gleason scores of 3+3. This article from our editorial team goes into further detail on active surveillance: https://prostatecancer.net/treatment/active-surveillance. Please feel free to keep us posted on how things are going and to ask questions. Best, Richard (Team Member)
