Biopsy

I had a biopsy 4 weeks ago. This is the 4th one. As soon as this one was done I had pain. By time I got home the pain was terrible. Ended up in ER because i could not pee. They catherized me with a bag for a week. But that was weeks ago and i still have pain in my rectum when i pee. There is pain in the pinus also. Never had this trouble on any other biopsy. This time they took more snips but this lingering pain does not seem right. Anybody have this

  1. Hi . Have you had a chance to speak to a doctor about these issues. I need to note that we are not medical professionals and, for your protection cannot offer diagnostics. That said, your own experience is telling you that this time is quite different. I do want share with you this article from our editorial team on risks of infection following a biopsy: https://prostatecancer.net/living/infection-prostate-biopsy. I'm not saying this is your issue, but want to share the information. If you are having any burning when urinating or fever these can be other signs of infections. Other sources of inflammation can also cause problems for weeks after a biopsy. The important point is that you think things don't feel right and when this happens don't hesitate to ask the doctor, especially when you have the previous experience you do with the procedure.
