Prostate cancer can be expensive. How do you manage the costs?
Share resources and tips on how you have managed (or not) the costs of a prostate cancer diagnosis. Have you connected with a patient support program? Have you looked into pharmaceutical financial assistance programs? Have you participated in clinical trials? We want to hear it all!
I have both Medicare and private insurance - So far all of my medical costs related to prostate cancer have been covered. On occasion i will get a bill for some minor thing that is not covered. On average they are all under $10.
So far have not needed to participate in clinical trials. I will say reaching out to your hospital's Onbudsman for help is an option most patients are not aware of.
