I haven't had any treatment

Over 2 years ago I choose active surveillance when I was diagnosed with stage 1 prostate cancer psa was 4.5 with a Gleason score of 3+4!

  1. My psa climed to 5.9I had my second prostate biopsy 2 weeks ago

    1. Hi again . I'm just now seeing this update. Given the negative biopsy, does the doctor have any thoughts on the rising PSA? There are things that can make PSA fluctuate, but the rise is quite a percentage. Have you had any tests besides the PSA and biopsy, such as an MRI? Don' hesitate to ask the doctor to explain. 2. Hi . How have you been doing with the active surveillance? Is the PSA staying stable? We know for some men the pressure of the testing and waiting for the next one can be tough. Our contributor Jim-Bob wrote about his experience here: https://prostatecancer.net/living/active-surveillance-takeaways. Is it going o.k. for you. Best, Richard (Team Member)
