Hi, I’m 52 and just got bloodwork done and my psa is 25.2. 2 years ago it was 1
This seems very aggressive. I’m thinking I have Cancer and perhaps very advanced with this high of a number. I don’t have a consult for 10 days with the urologist. Anyone else have such a high number?

Hi, The PSA is just part of the tools to see if someone has prostate cancer. Many other things can cause high PSA like Prostatitis, BPH etc. Also many have had much higher PSA's and didn't have prostate cancer. Try and relax until you see doctor and have more tests. Standard procedure is MRI then a biopsy if MRI shows anything. The urologist may do urine test in office to check for Prostatitis and maybe another PSA test first, before MRI - Biopsy. Wishing you the best
