PSA sharp increase
My PSA for last couple years has gone Up slowly ( average .1 every 6 months ), with the last reading of .5 six months ago and all of a sudden 1.6 recently. We have basically been monitoring my recurrence after already having had surgery and radiation. Soon I speak with my oncologist what to do next. I’m clueless and concerned

. I recall you were having PSA increase issues a couple of years ago. Did you ever have a PSMA PET scan? It is considered the gold standard for finding recurring prostate cancer (see: https://prostatecancer.net/clinical/psma-imaging-scan). If there are spots on new cancer, there are new treatments, including targeted that can help. That said, it is important to hear what the doctor wants to do next.
