test Results low PSA / high PSA free?

Healthy 68 year male here. PSA tests all my life have been under 1. My last one was 0.8. But now I see, for the first time, a free PSA test. and it is a 13. Next step: I Google and see that 13 means a biopsy and higher cancer risk. All true? This was something I never worried about because of the lifelong low PSA numbers.

  1. Hi thanks for reaching out. I am sending over an article with information about the PSA test: https://prostatecancer.net/diagnosis/psa-test. I would definitely encourage you to reach out to your doctor to see if they want to retest you or what they would recommend. We are here for you! Jill, prostatecancer.net team

    1. yeah yeah yeah, I know all this, and it did not address my question. I have a free versus total ratio of 16.5%. (total was 0.8 free was 13). What do I do next. Males 68 no family history.
