Post prostatectomy pain
New here first post I'm 5 weeks from my robotic prostatectomy. In the last two weeks I've had some constant pain in my lower abdomen. Trying to manage with Tylenol but not much help. Pain level about a 4. I messaged m Dr office and was told post "mild" pain is expected for 30- 45 days. I'm thinking a level 4 is a bit more than mild. Any one else experience this?
My next appointment is in 7 weeks and I don't want to deal with this much pain for that long. Any ideas?
I'm thinking I give it another week to hit 45 day mark and insist on appointment if pain still persistent.

. It is certainly understandable that this level of pain five weeks out would be troubling. However, what he discusses isn't this far removed from the procedure. Best, Richard (Team Member) After a CT scan my doctor believes I have osteitis pubis. After Googled it appears the symptoms match.

. I'm guessing you also saw that osteitis pubis, while rare, can be occur following a prostatectomy. Assuming this is correct (we are not medical professionals and can't do diagnostics), it seems like a pretty good catch by the doctor. I did see some information on treatment - has the doctor put you on antibiotics? Hoping you recover soon. Best, Richard (Team Member)
