PSA

Hi all . Recently I had 2 stents placed in coronary arteries . But a month after that my PSA had shot up from 1.9 to 13.6. my doctor said he'd be worried if it had been rising gradually instead. So I'm awaiting the result of a blood that was done about 6 weeks after the 13.6. result. It's been 3 weeks since the blood test was done. I'm seeing my doctor this Wednesday 16/04/25. Any advice welcome.. Cheers Kevin..

  1. : PSA goes up and down for any number of reasons. The worry I discovered did not help. The best advice I got was to enjoy life and live while taking it one day at a time. If issues develop, ask lots of questions, get a second opinion, and then make a decision on the next steps.

Been where you are just know you are not alone, and this thing if it is -- is often quite treatable. Dennis (Patient Leader)

    1. Hi Dennis. Thanks for your reassuring message. I appreciate it. One day at a time is a good idea.. I'll take it as it comes. I mighn't like if it goes wrong, but acceptance is key. Cheers Kevin...
