Has anyone or know anyone participated at UCSF Clinical Trial for Prostate Cancer?
Would love to know your experience. My father might join, but trying to get more info.
Thank you

Clinical Trials sound scary but can be a win/win. If the test drug is not working the trial stops so no loss. All patients are monitored closely. If the test drug works ... you may receive it as part of the trial or be switched to it at some point ...either during the trial or early on after the trial ends.

Hi . Do you happen to know which clinical trial your father might join? I ask because at this time UCSF has 82 in progress and 40 open for new participants (see: https://clinicaltrials.ucsf.edu/prostate-cancer). Clinical trials can definitely present opportunities that some patients might otherwise not have. I do want to add that UCSF is considered one of the top prostate cancer research facilities in the world. Best, Richard (ProstateCancer.net Team)
