HDR brachytherapy

Greetings Gents....
I have a localized lesion (3+4) and have opted to 'one and done it' with HDR brachytherapy (not low-dose seeding).
Two sessions, a week apart, then completed.
I realize after effects will slowly develop over time...
low chance of urinary incontinence,
higher chance of ED issues.
I'm looking to hear from others who have had HDR brachy...
What was your experience...and once the prostate is fully scarred, your ejaculations are bone dry, I assume...?
Thanks for your insights and experiences with this course of treatment.

  1. Hi . As you wait for others to chime in with their experiences, I want to share with you this post from a community member who found the HDR to be a great choice: https://prostatecancer.net/stories/roller-coaster-choosing. Also, here is another post on the treatment, with some discussion in the comments section: https://prostatecancer.net/stories/my-journey-to-date. Hope this information is helpful.
