cryotherapy

has anyone had experience with cryotherapy for treatment of prostate cancer? recently diagnosed with PSA 9.7, Gleason 8, no metastasis, all in the prostate.

  1. Hi . I can't personally speak to cryotherapy, but I want to share this article where Jim talked about his friend's cryotherapy: https://prostatecancer.net/living/friend-cryotherapy-experience. You should also check out the comments section at the end. Hope this information is helpful and that others chime in with their experiences. Please feel free to keep us posted on how things are going and to ask additional questions. Best, Richard (Team Member)

    1. Thanks Richard. Had appointment this morning and got different opinion. I also have Parkinsons and that appears to affect selection of treatment. While it appears the tumor has not spread, it is close to some edges and this urologist thought any focal therapy may not be as effective. Have also read about people taking fenbendazole (dewormer) and having success. Would be interested in hearing from others that may have experience with fenbendazole.

    2. Hi Jim (). There hasn't been a lot of discussion on the site about fenbendazole, but here are a couple of Forum conversations: https://prostatecancer.net/forums/okay-this-is-it-here-we-go and https://prostatecancer.net/forums/psa-117-gleason-10-metastatic-to-pelvic-bones-my-story.
