Hi . Your concern with a rising PSA is certainly understandable. I can't personally speak to this issue and I need to stress that we are not medical professionals and, for your protection, cannot give medical advice. I do want to share with you this article from the American Cancer Society on "Following PSA Levels During and After Prostate Cancer Treatment:" https://www.cancer.org/cancer/types/prostate-cancer/treating/psa-levels-after-treatment.html. It has a section on PSA after radiation therapy, including something referred to as a "PSA Bounce." It is something that "sometimes happens after external beam radiation and brachytherapy. The PSA rises slightly for a short time within the first couple of years after treatment, but then goes back down. Doctors aren’t sure why this happens, but it doesn’t seem to affect a man’s prognosis." I'm not saying this is what is happening in your case, but want to provide the information so you can discuss with your doctor. Best, Richard (Team Member)
